Electrical Vehicle Battery Charger Based on Smart Microgrid

The need to reduce pollution and the shortage of fossil fuels has led increased development hybrid full electric vehicles. There is also an use renewable energy resources such as photovoltaic, wind, tidal, etc. These two trends pose serious challenges existing grids: a lack supply power when demand high, deficient management excess power, number off grid faults, instabilities others. One way increase penetration vehicles (EV) into market keep infrastructure combine with local battery packs make EV charging stations. This paper focuses on developing station. main advantages proposed charger include fact that it uses only off-the-shelf inverters, intended be used in households where maximum installed 3.6 kW enable fast-charging operation modes or costs while battery; can from during peak consumption; potential lower electrical costs; offers possibility vehicle-to-home (V2H) implementation; modular (if other technologies become available more affordable, consumers easily update system, adding types resources).
